Granny Stripe Skirt – Free Crochet Skirt Pattern

The Pasadena Skirt is classic crochet meets modern! This free crochet skirt pattern features classic granny stripes, a wide waistband and an adorable picot hem. An optional drawstring will help hold your skirt exactly where you want it while staying hidden on the inside to keep the clean, modern look of the high waist.

The Pasadena Skirt is perfect for an advanced beginner. Made with worsted weight acrylic yarn it’s a great skirt to add to your fall and winter wardrobe. Switch to cotton for a lighter summer version.

The Pasadena Skirt is written in sizes XS-XL. Find the instructions for XS below. Sizes XS-XL are available as a PDF on Ravelry or Etsy. The ad-free pintable PDF includes: the full pattern in bullet point format and color coded by size for easy reading; hang tags and care cards that are perfect when selling or gifting your make; and many step by step photos that are added after the pattern for easy printing.

  • How do you get 90 sc in the first round from the ribbed waistband when there’s 99 rows to complete the ribbing section? Do you skip certain rows of the ribbing?

    • Hi Jacqui!! Thank you so much for commenting!! I just double checked the pattern and 99 is a typo- there should be 90 rows in the ribbed waistband. I’m going in to fix the typo asap!!

  • What are the different row counts for the different sizes? I'm assuming that 90 rows for the ribbed waistband is for XS. What is it for the other sizes and how does that change the number of clusters?

    • Hi Pamela!

For this pattern, the only size that is available for free is the xs. All of the stitch counts and row counts for the other sizes are available with the paid PDF. You can find that on Ravelry and on Etsy 😊
