Triangle shawls and wraps always tend to get a “stingray shape” for me.
This shape can be corrected through blocking. However, I choose not to block my wraps. Because of the way I style mine I don’t find that shape to be noticeable. Acrylic yarn does not tend to block well, which is another reason I choose to skip blocking.
If you are working with natural fibers you may choose to block your wrap.
If you choose to block, keep in mind that different fibers require different blocking methods.
Try out different weights of yarns and different hook sizes to create a whole new look! You may absolutely sell the items you make from this free crochet pattern!! I just ask that you tag or link back here when possible. Use #carlieflo or #riversidewrap to show off your work!

I loved doing this pattern I did it in Lion Brand Mandela in Gnome perfect for Spring. Going to to another one using Lion Brand Mandala in Chimera. Thank You so much.
Oh I’m so happy to hear you’ve enjoyed the pattern!! Chimera is one of my favorites- I’m sure it will be beautiful!
This is beautiful and I can't wait to give it a try - never done a triangle shawl before but your directions look really easy to follow! Can I ask what the purple yarn is? That's a gorgeous color!
Thanks so much, Cece!! If you run into any problems while you’re working on it just let me know! I’m happy to help if you get stumped on anything!! The purple is Soft Secret by YarnBee (hobby lobby brand) and the color is French Lilac. They have a really beautiful color selection for that line
