Optional Fringe

Cut  lengths  of yarn about 11 inches  (or length desired).  This will make 5 inch fringe.

Working along the short ends of the scarf, attach 2 strands in every other stitch.  For a fuller fringe, work in every stitch.  Do not work in the corner stitches.

To attach the fringe: Hold two strands together and fold in half.  Insert hook into stitch.  Grab the looped end of the yarn with the hook and pull it through the stitch.  Reach through the loop and pull the loose ends through.  Tighten.

After attaching all of the fringe, trim the edges to straighten.
